A quick reminder about the upcoming Novelty and Inequalities in Science symposium, taking place in Prague, Czechia, on October 8–9, 2026.
💡 Program highlights include keynote lectures by Erin Leahey (University of Arizona), “Recognizing, Rewarding, and Promoting Novelty,” and Sotaro Shibayama (University of Tokyo), “Heterogeneity and Reproduction of Scientific Novelty,” as well as a report on theMetascience Novelty Indicators Challenge by Sarah Otner (University of Sussex).
📅 If you are planning to attend, please save the date and register by September 9, 2026. Registration is free, and we encourage you to register at your earliest convenience to help us with planning.
📃 There is also still a limited opportunity to contribute to the symposium program. If you would like to present your work, please contact us directly at novelty2026@flu.cas.cz as soon as possible.
📅 If you would like to attend without presenting, you are very welcome to join us as well. The registration deadline for non-presenting participants is September 30, 2026.
